Welcome to Arkadia Winter Park, which has a nice winter hustle and bustle for the whole family! There is a reindeer ride, an ATV track for children, a slide and a Lappish hut café. The winter park is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12 noon to 4 pm.
Welcome to Reindeer farm at Simo!
Welcome to the reindeer farm to enjoy the winter day! Take a reindeer ride or ATV race! Reindeer ride is suitable for the whole family but ATV driving is for children age 5-12 years. We have different lengths of trails running in the snowy forest. You can also take reindeer driving card. The yard has a hoax and a small slide and a four-wind lean.
Winter park is open on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 12-16 in Winter 2021.
At other times we are open on request.
Sauna
As a novelty you can also find a traditional sauna with its luxurious bath tub. An order beforehand is required. Please ask for a offer.
The Lappish hut restaurant
On the yard we have a Lappish hut that fits 60 persons at the same time. We can arrange birthday parties or workplace recreational evenings, even children’s parties.
An order beforehand is required for events and meals. Meals can be enjoyed in the hut by the campfire or in the Four Winds Shelter in the courtyard.
About us
Päivi and Samuli are the enterpreneurs who also live in Arkadia farm.
Päivi is a community pedagogue who has had love for animals from a small age.
In the youth, Päivi took care of all horses in the village and was helpful in all animal care.
Samuli is an entrepreneur in the painting industry who, from the young age, dreamed of working on the farm’s host. As a small boy, Samuli even cared for the flies and even kept funerals for them if necessary.
The dream became true with the petting zoo and reindeer herding, which are both a work and a lifestyle for Päivi and Samuli.
Päivi and Samuli have 9 children, 5-20 years old, who work extensively in the animal park. The smallest, 5 year old Amanda, works as a great guide to visitors.
